MLB Ballpark App
MLB Ballpark app is your mobile companion when visiting your favorite Major League Baseball ballparks. The application complements and personalizes your trip when attending games. Select MLB ballparks also offer mobile food ordering and pickup along with seat and experience upgrade components.
Create an experience that targets the baseball audience that is looking for a new way to explore the stadium while having a one-stop hub for all their ballpark needs. The first touchpoint is to create an application platform where users are able to create an account, browse concessions, find and pay for parking for the desired event while staying up to date with the game through live statistics. Lastly, the construction of the home and team pages that matches the brand aesthetic and overall strategy of both the professional team and Major League Baseball’s style guides.

UI Design –– User Research –– User Journey
Project Goal
Produce an effective and easy user flow that completes specific tasks within the application such as account creation, enabling notifications and locations services. Create a simple checkout process and payment confirmation. Integrate the user research and request for favorite team selection and a home page that sticks with the MLB brand aesthetics while embracing the team selected brand style guides.
The Research Phase
During the  research phase of this project, I conducted a competitive analysis of other websites/apps that are similar to the MLB Ballpark App. I researched applications that have similar interfaces and a strong brand. From this, we found features of each brand that stood out and tested these features in our user interviews. Through these interviews, we were able to find features and details that our users wanted to be integrated and the emotions they display when using the app. We wrote these features onto post-its and affinity mapped the details to synthesize trends and avoid assumptions. From this, we are able to determine the personas and target audience for our mobile integration.
Persona
Due to time restrictions on the project (3 day turnaround) we used our interview data and research. and created one persona for the type of fan that would use the application. With the application already being created but lacking a way of creating an account, we asked user's questions on how they would approach account creation. These answers, with the research gave a clear understanding of their goals and expectations when using creating an account and setting up their ballpark application.
User Journey
Setting up and creating an account can be a stressful and lengthy process, our goal for the user's journey was to simplify this process to the essentials and allow the user a quicker access to the application. After our users download  and have opened the app they are greeted by a welcome screen with either a login modal or given the opportunity to create an account and enter the flow seen below.

The Outcome
Created a system based on user research, interview feedback and flows for account creation. In this, added integration for enabling notification and location services as well as adding mobile payment information and selection of the user's favorite team. Once the team is selected a customized home screen with the selected teams branding and style is infused with the MLB ballpark home screen for more customized user experience. On the home page, the user can find parking and concessions, check future games, see the statistics of both teams and purchase tickets to present and future games.
