Perpetual Motion
Perpetual Motion is a Boston based engineering and manufacturing start-up reshaping the future of manufacturing. From production to consulting and everything in between, the team at Perpetual Motion is here to help keep your business moving.
The goal for this project was to create an experience that targets engineers and manufacturers with a cheaper and alternative way of production. With bright images and modern style. As a startup with no branding or prior design system, the first touchpoint is to create a logo, color scheme and ultimately a website that is both functional and on brand. The second touch point is to establish a system where users can learn and ultimately invest in the consultation of Perpetual Motion. Lastly, the construction of a visual brand aesthetic from concept to finish.
Branding –– Visual Design
The Vision
Manufacturers spend millions every year using outdated processes, equipment and expensive labor cost. Perpetual Motion seeks to impact this "old school" field with some freshness and bring manufacturers into the 21st century. In a meeting with stakeholders, the goal that was presented was a fresh brand experience that is different than any other engineering and manufacture group. The goal of this MVP was to express boring information in a fun and exciting way. People are used to manufacturing and engineering to be bland and straight to the point. The founders at Perpetual Motion wanted the exact opposite.

"We want to stick out like a sore thumb. We are changing an industry that is hundreds of years old. Engineering companies are old, and their websites reflect that. We want to shift the identity and breakthrough."
-Jeremy Reynolds (Founder & CEO)
The Final Designs

As the wireframes and UX work was completed by the UX team at the agency, I was tasked with turning their wireframes into visual designs ready to be handed off to the developers. Using a component based design system that allowed for easy content entry through adobe, the visuals were chosen with continuity as the focus.

The Outcome
Four designed webpages ready for development for a local start up in Massachusetts called Perpetual Motion. These webpages bring a modern and a fresh branding design system to an outdated system. .
